I had to laugh when all those G’Kar worshippers suddenly knelt as one when G’Kar raised his hand to protest. Great episode…dark but with bits of hope here and there. And hey, I was right about Delenn getting pregnant!! But I’m getting ahead of myself…
Garibaldi shows up late for a Council meeting, drunk, and Sheridan confronts him.
Lochley visits Garibaldi in his quarters and tells him that both she and her father are alcoholics. Lochley’s acting got a bit on my nerves earlier on but as I mentioned before, I quite like her now (though I’m sorry, she’s still no Ivanova).
Her story also helps explain why she is the way she is.
When terrorist money is tracked back to Lyta on B5, security takes her for questioning. Though it’s tougher than they think at first…holy cow, she seems to just get more and more powerful. And whoa, she is certainly no wallflower now, is she?
“You cannot stop someone who has been touched by Vorlons,” she tells Lochley, just before Sheridan (who has also been touched by Vorlons) apprehends her.
Lochley sends for Lise, knowing that Garibaldi needs her.
By the end of this episode, I had to change my mind about Garibaldi’s choice. I know I pushed for Ivanova in the beginning :-), but I don’t know how Ivanova would have handled Garibaldi’s alcoholism…I suspect not well.
Delenn is pregnant, woohoo! We already know they’re going to have a son whom they will name David; they know this as well, don’t they?
At first I thought Lyta was wearing some kind of futuristic sweater and had her arms crossed in front of her. It was only partway through this scene that I realized that she was wearing a straitjacket.
Anyway, they strike quite the intriguing deal, don’t they? Lyta says she’ll check back with Garibaldi in two years. Hmm…I wonder if this is covered in any of the B5 movies?
G’Kar volunteers to take Lyta with him. He wants to escape being an icon, and he believes he can help rehabilitate Lyta.
Meanwhile…

And when G’Kar tells us he is leaving and probably will never be back, I can only thing of Andreas leaving us.
Oh, the big laughs I had to keep to myself, as early on you were trying to get Ivanova and Garibaldi together. I just never thought of it in the first place.
Lyta follows up with Garibaldi in the Psi-Corps Trilogy of novels.
