I think I’m falling in love with Lennier.

Heh, I like the breakfast scene when Sheridan is figuring out a way to get the League to accept White Star patrols on their borders.

Delenn feels guilty about breaking the Grey Council and causing unrest on Minbar.
Lennier (who was BRILLIANT in this episode, by the way), as always, protects Delenn. Lennier is rapidly rising in the list of my Favourite B5 Characters. He always stays in the background, yet he is so strong, so loyal, so smart, with a wonderfully dry sense of humour.

I so feel for him. Sheridan is flashier and more publicly heroic; Lennier is often overlooked and underestimated.

I’m immensely curious about Londo’s scathing mention of Reebo and Zootie (sp?), apparently a comedy team on Earth. I hope we get to see a clip of this show, which Sheridan apparently likes. Highly amusing: Londo grabbing his knee and lifting his leg, calling “Zootie! Zoot! Zoot!”, apparently one of the trademark moments in the show.
And then Sheridan does the same thing:

It’s little silly stuff like this that greatly enhances my enjoyment of the series.

Up to the end, I adored Neroon in this episode. I felt like cheering as he supported Delenn, admitted that he understood why Dukhat chose her.
Neroon: I assumed your behavior was prompted by a sense of your own superiority, your ego, .. the usual fanaticism we have come to expect from the religious caste. In the last year, I’ve begun to realize that I was wrong. Dukhat chose you above all to follow him. Slowly, dimly, I begin to understand why. I do not know what lays ahead of us, Delenn, but I do know it is right that we are here together.
Delenn: Is that a compliment, Neroon?
Neroon: After a fashion.
He was so convincing, wasn’t he?

It was fun to see all the pieces of Sheridan’s plan fall into place. And how telling it was that, no matter how bizarre Sheridan’s orders, his crew obeyed them (Marcus being asked to shoot rocks, for example). And even people like Londo respect Sheridan enough to help him with his plan.
Holy cow, I can’t believe those Minbari religious types were willing to poison everyone on the ship!

I loved seeing the Minbar religious types squirm as Delenn praises them for being so loyal and unlike the the warrior caste (who attack their own).

When Lennier almost dies when he saves everyone by removing the poison canister, even Neroon can tell that Delenn cares deeply for her assistant.
Which makes me wonder…HOW deeply? Don’t tell me.

Delenn: Lennier, this is the second time I have seen you near death. You’re starting to acquire bad habits.
Lennier decides not to betray the rest of the religious caste. When they ask why, he tells them he was doing it for Delenn, not for them.
Lennier: If I had told her the whole truth, it would’ve destroyed her belief in the strength and the wisdom of our caste. Delenn does not walk in the same world you and I walk in. She does not see the same world you and I see. In her world we are better than we are, we care more than we care. We act towards each other with compassion. I much prefer her world to that of my own, and I will not allow anything to threaten that.
*swoon*
I LOVE LENNIER.

NO WAY! Neroon is betraying Delenn?!?? NONONO! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Next episode: Moments Of Transition

You didn’t say the magic words! (DTMe)
Rebo and Zooty show up on B5 in S5. Of course with that bit of information I will withhold who plays them, so you can get some of the fan experience speculating who will play them.
JMS said that they are “not intended as tributes to anyone, just a cool sounding pair of names (but also annoying sounding).”
I was hoping to see that empty Markab seat in the B5 council, but it looks like the Gaim second might be in it.
This was a weird episode for some of us Brits because one of the speaking religious Minbari was played by Guy Siner, whom up to that point we had only seen as Lieutenant Gruber in the sitcom Allo Allo.
And yes, it was wonderful watching Sheridan being more and more taken by his idea. A bright spot in what was for me rather too dark a season.

Interesting to know I’m not the only person who felt that way :).

Shame on you, Zander! You mean you didn’t recognise him as General Ravon from “Genesis of the Daleks”? =:o}
This is one of my favorite episodes. Starting with Lennier’s actions, already described by Debbie. Also due to Neroon. I really like the Neroon-Delenn scenes.
He has one of those distinctive voices which just drips with innuendo and other things. I wish he had been in more than 5 eps as Neroon. I absolutely love Sheridan’s “Yes!” in the elevator. It was great to see Sheridan being so sneaky in this ep. He is usually so direct, straight-forward, etc. Nice use of reverse psychology. Too much and he would definitely be considered manipulative. But a little bit is a refreshing change. And Dr Franklin seemed to enjoy his part in the scheme. If it had been a group of humans, I don’t think he would have been able to quite pull it off. The
scene between Sheridan & Ivanova is delightful. Re: nothing happened today in sector … Nothing is more suspicious than “nothing happened”.
I adore Babylon 5. Absolutely adore it. Last year at this time I watched the whole series, except I ran out of time to see the final season before we moved (to the UK, where they don’t have Netflix!).
I suddenly feel less alone in the universe as I, too, totally fell in love with Lennier during my watching of B5. I feel better now
Seriously, though, he’s such a great character. I’ve always been drawn to minor characters and Lennier was my favorite since about halfway through season one. I don’t know why I liked him, but then he kept developing and I liked him even more…his dry humor, his loyalty, his quiet strength and firm belief that all life is sacred. He’s like…the secondary hero, who slips in and does something while all the main characters are being heroic and bold on the forefront. Maybe it’s the fact that his importance is always overlooked drew me to him as well. But I love him to pieces <3
Isn’t B5 amazing? I watched it for the first time this summer.
