Angels or no, the Vorlons are getting nasty.
Interesting relationship between Sheridan and Lorien; I still don’t really understand it. I can’t really blame Garibaldi for being suspicious of Lorien, though Garibaldi IS pretty crabby this episode.
But Franklin checks Garibaldi for signs that he was used in one of the Shadow Ships and can’t find any.
Hm…but when the doctor takes off his rubber gloves, Garibaldi has a creepy flashback to when he was plastic-wrapped. Why isn’t he telling anyone??
Don’t tell me.

Interesting conversation out in the garden of Centauri Prime between Londo, Morden and the Emperor. As flawed and immoral as Londo might be, it’s clear that he truly cares about his people and wants what is best for them.

Whereas the Emperor will do anything, even sacrifice his own people, to attain godhood.
Clearly, he’s more than a mite whimsical in the brainpan.

I’m glad that Sheridan and Delenn worked things out.

I hadn’t realized that the Vorlons were able to put up a shield like that. Or attack with that high-pitched unbearable sound. Why didn’t Kosh #1 protect himself from his attackers this way? Don’t tell me.

Whoa…how bizarre when that light tentacled thing came out of Kosh #2’s envir-suit! Tentacles just like on the Vorlon ships.

GREAT fight between Evil Kosh and Good Kosh. But does this mean that the original Kosh is gone for good? Don’t tell me.
And uh-oh, Sheridan only has 20 years left?!?

Woohoo, Sheridan and Delenn are engaged! I got all teary-eyed, of course.
“I want you to know that whatever time I have left, I want to spent it with you,” says Sheridan.
And AUUUUUUUUUGH, G’Kar gets his eye plucked out. The scene where the Emperor almost randomly chooses an eye to be picked out, then the silence as the door closes…. *shudder.* Another part of Londo’s dream comes true.
I hate seeing G’Kar being hurt like this. When is it going to end?
Don’t tell me.
Next episode: The Long Night

Come to think of it, Vorlon-in-the-raw really *does* look like the Flying Spaghetti Monster!
You know the changes in Garibaldi were not as noticeable with the episodes weeks apart.
Londo does care about his people, but at the same time he thinks about them in the past how they use to be great and how they use to do things. He doesn’t see them as growing and being great in new ways.
I just remember when I watched B5 through for the first time in 2006 these early Season 4 episodes practically gave me nightmares. I didn’t deal well with them at all, all these raw scenes of G’Kar being tortured and maimed. It took me some time to get over it and I still have to steel myself to watch these episodes when I do repeat watch-throughs.
And I came away from these first few Season 4 episodes in my first viewing with the terrible dread that I had learned to love these characters too quickly and too well and in these last two seasons it might be time to pay the price for that, but it was far too late to go back.

This is spoiler safe – if you look back to the episode where Kosh #1 is killed, you see some of Morden’s rather powerful associates pile on.
