Hm…someone recently pointed out that the B5Virgin LJ Feed contains the full text of each of my posts. I’d much rather there be an excerpt and have people click through to the actual site. Has this changed from before?
Reasons I’d like to have people read the full text on my site rather than LJ include:
1. Copyright. People who just read the feed don’t read any of the copyright info, nor do they have access to my “About” page.
2. Comments. Some people may comment on the feed instead of on my site. I don’t read the feed comments.
3. Traffic stats. I’d like to have an accurate idea of the traffic that hits my site. I’ve also just added a small Google ad on the site in hopes of generating an admittedly small potential revenue; I figure this will help justify the amount of time I spend on each post when I could be spending that time on my freelance work.
So if anyone has any suggestions on how to change the appearance of the feed in Wordpress, I’d appreciate it — thanks! I’m trying out the “Excerpt” field in Wordpress for this post to see if that affects anything.

Wow…intense episode. Sheridan at his worst (so far, anyway), Garibaldi resigns, Morden continues to baffle, and the vaguely creepy Ministry of Peace starts recruiting. Continue reading →

Brilliant idea for an episode. And Torqueman is perfect: sincere yet slightly over-rehearsed-sounding, just like real-life media types. I also especially enjoyed this episode because it gives the viewer a different perspective of Babylon Five. And in terms of plot, things are definitely heating up! Continue reading →

As Sheridan ran after the guy who stole his comm link, I felt like yelling, “Don’t do it! It’s a set-up!” He seems so smart some days but others…well… Continue reading →

Great to find out more about Kosh…and his ship. Love the atmosphere of the scene where Ivanova and Sheridan are talking about Kosh’s mysterious ship. Hope we eventually get to find out more about the ship, the moving patterns on its ’skin,’ and the mysterious symbols that appear when Kosh is watching. Don’t tell me. Continue reading →

This is one of my favorite Ivanova episodes so far. ![]()
But before I get ahead of myself, I should mention the rest of the episode… Continue reading →
